Featured Misc Games
Once in a while there comes a time in which a game crosses your path and changes everything. How and why it does so may result in multiple answers, one of which can be the fact that certain games are really not that complicated to understand and learn how to play, but once you try to describe them they become your worst nightmare. Sure, that may not be life-altering for you, but when you have to review one of these games, you start paying attention to these things.
That, precisely, was the case with Perpetual Blaze. This is a pretty neat game, extremely simple (so much that you do not really need instructions), but hard to explain. Basically, you control a sort of pendulum with fire on the extreme, which you need to use in order to destroy your enemies, who simply keep coming, relentlessly. OK, so, perhaps getting a description was easier than I originally thought. Sue me. What is important is the fact that the game is extremely cool, right?
Transporter, in turn, is a much more sophisticated game in terms of graphics, I think, but a more basic game in terms of premise (notice I am saying basic and not simple): This is the kind of game we used to play in old commodore computers, with aviator joysticks (which are pretty awesome in themselves). Your objective is to rescue and transport four people safely back to your own base, without crashing – of course. Controls are easy to use (not as cool as the joystick, but oh well), and the difficulty level is pretty decent.
In third place today, Planet Platformer 2 is also a classic game in that you control a human – shaped avatar whose objective is to collect all the stars in the platform in order to complete the level. Novelty comes with the planet – shaped platform, which may remind you of the drawings of the different planet / asteroids enclosed in the book The Little Prince, and presents enough obstacles to make this game a challenging option.

Finally, we have Penguin Dinner, which is similar to already reviewed games such as Diner Dash. The difference here is that your avatar is Penny, who is a penguin (as you may have very well guessed). Other than that, the game works pretty much in the same way as its predecessors: you are supposed to make a certain amount of money each level, and then invest it in upgrades to keep the business running smoothly. See? Just like real life, if you come to think about it; only real life in Antarctica…
