Action Day
I think that the days I review action games are actually my favorite, first because there are much more games from which to choose, and second because the games are so exciting that they make you want to play them till the end.
Super Fighter is one those. It has 5 different levels, 5 different fights, and let me tell you: You will not stop playing it until you win the whole thing. The really weird part was when I checked controls. Regularly, the usual way would be: you move using the keyboard arrows, and attack using the “A” and “S” keys. Here, however, you move using only the “A” and “S” keys and attack using the four arrows. Bewildering, yes, but once you get used to it, you will really enjoy the game. Trust me, you will see.
I still remember the first time that I saw Sleepy Hollow – the Johnny Depp movie, I think you remember it too. Well, I had to sleep under the covers for days because I was too afraid of being decapitated by the headless horseman while I slept – hey, I was just a kid. But now, older, I really like that legend. And that is why the first game of the day is Headless Havoc. And the coolest part of it is that you are not the one being decapitated, but the one who does the beheading! What you have to do is keep your havoc bar full, or you will lose. How are you supposed to do that? Of course – as always in the legend – you have to behead innocent people (that is like the answer to everything here). But watch out, every spared villager will make the bar empty faster, so do not let anyone live!
The next game is Knife, and one of the best things about it is that it has two different ways to play it: the arcade mode and the relay mode. As regards the arcade mode, the key to the game is surviving, killing all the enemies that you can with nothing more than your knife. You can throw it or just give them a straight stab – nothing fancy. What is interesting about the relay is that there are two flags in both sides of screen, and what you have to do is run side by side, killing all the enemies in your way to get as many flags as you can before time runs out. I totally recommend this game, at least if you want to feel like Jackie Chan with a knife. Pity on the soul who dare cross your way!
The last game of the day is another fight game, Malay Technique. The point of this game is almost the same than any other fight game: Win all the fights. The difference here is that you can also buy – with the points you have earned – upgrades that will make you better, stronger. Each fight is something new, then. Take advantage of that!
