Tough Racing

We have come a long way playing flash games together, and we have played a lot of them. Some we have enjoyed more and others a bit less; some have sucked us in with their backstories and others have made us alarmed and kept us always with one eye open. Fortunately, today we have very good games. Enjoy them.

First of all, we have Sky Rider. This is your average flash game, similar to all the others in which you must collect as many items as you can. This time, however, you have to do it in the air. Using some sort of hang glider, you need to collect all the stars in the screen in order to reach the next level.

Now, have you ever played those car games in which you see the road from the top, and, in order to turn right you have to press the left arrow in the keyboard, and in order to turn left, you have to press the right arrow? Do you know what I mean? Well, I hate those games! I hate them with a passion! The thing is, I always get confused, I click the wrong button and then I crash – yes, pathetic, I know. Okay, Mountain View Racer is one of those games but, much to my surprise I actually liked it once I got used to the controls and started winning (sometimes). See? That’s all it took me in order to realize that these games are not that bad, and even kind of good… you can really enjoy them!

Now, F-1 is a matter close to my heart. I will always remember it as if it was yesterday, Sunday noon at my grandfather’s house. We always, always watched the races while we were having lunch, and you better kept quiet and didn’t put anything between us and the TV! Thanks to that, I started liking races (even though I am really not passionate about cars, not at all). So, when I saw Formula 1 Champion, I immediately felt like reviewing the game, if only because of that. The game is very simple, a racing game through and through: you move with the arrows and the objective of the game is leaving everybody else behind, in order to win. Simple, in this case, also implies fun and exciting.

Finally, we have another game in which the road is seen from the top. And yes, as usual, I lost. But let me tell you one thing, USS Racing makes me want to practice over and over again until I can actually drive well, because it really is amazing, really! All the drifting, the whole feel of the game definitely caught my attention. Three cheers to this game, which not only left me looking like a fool and defeated me like the best, but also did it in a way that makes me want to come back for more.
