Featured Games of the Week
Today’s games can be found at the Featured Games section in the main page of BGames, which means that they are pretty much unrelated among themselves.
ATV Offroad Thunder is a racing game, obviously, in which you control an ATV. The good news is that unlike other similar games, in this case not only can you lean the vehicle to overcome the obstacles, but you can also jump, perform stunts and activate your nitro tank, all while trying to make your way through the most inhospitable place on Earth. You also have the mandatory bonus points that must be collected throughout the game, as well as nitro changes to fill up the tank. Controls are easy to handle, and getting the hang of the whole thing only takes a couple of minutes, maximizing the fun factor.

Stick Swat 3 on the other hand is, of course, a stick game (thank goodness). That in itself should sell the game (check the rest of the website for further references; we have had excellent experiences with these games), but there is more. For starters, you name is Jack Sparks (OK, Jack reminds us of Jack Bauer, who is the ultimate badass, but Sparks reminds us of Nicholas Sparks and that sort of cancels out the effect; I’ll give you that) and you are part of a one-man swat team. Controls are easy to use, facilitating the task of taking cover, reloading, taking aim and shooting: everything with a flick of the mouse. You can incorporate more weapons to your arsenal as you go along, and heal yourself if you are lucky enough to find a health care pack. Believe me, it will be necessary: enemies abound, and they are quite deft at shooting. Better aim to the head, then!
WereBox is a completely different kind of game, a lot like Red Remover, which has already been reviewed. The best thing about this, other than the fact that it pushes your brain to the max in order to complete each and every level by means of kicking the red boxes off the screen and keeping all the others, is that the WereBoxes look like something taken out of South Park. After all, they are pretty bizarre: how else can you explain a box that suddenly turns into a circle and then goes back to being a square?
And then there is a game like Hitstick 5. Truth be told, I clicked on it hoping to find yet another stick game (which, as I have already mentioned today and before, are always a personal favorite). It is not; far from it, actually. Graphics are very elaborated and detailed, and extremely good. As a hitman, you are assigned a mission: there is always someone to kill. In order to complete your mission, you can choose two out of five weapons and prepare yourself to face many different obstacles. It requires attention, cleverness and a lot of practice, but it pays off. It really does.
So, next time you access the website, don’t go straight to your usual favorites. Check out the featured games. Who knows what you might find there…
