Favorite Shooting Games of the Week

It is a highly accepted truth that if you want to have fun at home, playing computer games, there are few better ways to spend your time than shooting at stuff. The wide range of possibilities available ensure a variety of premises that show that there truly is a game for everyone. Today’s reviews are aimed at games with a sniper thematic, and sort of tell the same story, from different points of view.

The first game I tried was ShootM, which can be considered a sort of basic sniper training camp. The objective of the game is shooting Mr. Stickman (have I mentioned that I love stickmen games? I seem to have a fixation with them; bear with me), over and over and over again, with as many different weapons as you can get throughout the game. There are over 30 different weapons and explosives that you can use, in addition to your bare hands. Each time you successfully perform an attack on the guy, you earn money to be spent upgrading your arsenal. Of course, the little guy has made a career out of dodging bullets and whatnot, so it sounds a lot easier than it really is!

Once training was over, I started playing Agent B10 2. In this game, you are a sniper hired by different companies and get different assignments to be carried out all around the world. Once you complete them, you get paid; which means you can upgrade your weapons and buy more bullets. The tricky part is that you never get to see the whole setting; your visual is limited to what you see through the telescopic sight of your rifle, which makes the game a lot more challenging. In addition, targets are often singled out by small details such as facial hair, which means you have to pay a lot of attention to briefings. Just like a pro would.

After taking a walk on the dark side, I decided to use my newly acquired skills for good. In Save The Witness, as the name suggests, the objective of the game is to prevent your guy from being assassinated. Truth be told, this game requires both sharpshooting skills and a lot of imagination, in order to figure out how to stop the killings from happening. A real challenge that demands a lot of time and focus, perhaps more than one could have imagined.

But, say you cannot prevent the assassination from taking place. You still have to catch the bad guys, right? That is what happens in Cold Crime; the Mayor has been shot and the killer is on the run. In this platform game, your job is to advance throughout hordes of enemies and help the police to get to the perpetrator.  While having a lot of fun, of course.

In short, by playing these four games you take a look at all possible aspects of the business — and, let me say: it has never looked better.
